This series of fountain pen inks contains 24 colors to represent the 24 Solar periods that represent the annual changes of seasons and helps guide agricultural activities through observing the different positions of the sun.

We are offering the following colors at this time:

• Frost Descent - Teal: The frost arrives with even colder weather for the eighteenth Solar Term around October 23rd.
• Great Heat - Blue: During the twelfth Solar Term, the days are long and temperatures are at their hottest, beginning around July 22nd.
• Beginning of Winter - Blue/Black: Winter-like temperatures really set in around November 7th for the nineteenth Solar Term.
• Great Cold - Purple - The twenty-fourth and last Solar Term is around January 20th, and is marked as being the coldest time of the year. The cold eases up when the Solar Term cycle begins again.
• Wake of Insects - Green:  Thanks to the increase in rain, the insects begin to come out of hibernation around March 5th marking the start of the third Solar Term. 

Kyo-no-oto fountain pen inks made in Kyoto Japan. They are crafted according traditional Japanese dyeing techniques. The Kyo-no-oto ink colors are traditional Japanese ink colors that has been used since Heian era, roughly 1000 years ago, which are the expression of its rich history and profound culture for a long time. The water-based Kyo-no-oto fountain pen ink comes in 5 different colors in 40ml ink bottles. 

Nureba-iro has been used for the name that represents a women’s glossy black hair just like feather of crow.

Imayou-iro is a safflower red color that had been getting attention in Heian era which means what Japanese ancestors called ‘modern color’. It had been preferred by women

Koke-iro was made being inspired by one of the Japanese aesthetics ‘Wabisabi’. It is located in the garden of Kyoto with the glimpse of culture of Kyoto.

Yamabuki is the plant rosaceae kerria genus. This color means a brilliant red tinged gold just like Yamabuki. This color has been used since ancient times.

Moon floating in the dark sky, the Kyoto city with silent moonlight. Aonibi is the combination between pale black and indigo. It represents dignified atmosphere in the deep pale night sky.

The Guitar Tasho Roman Haikara line of fountain pen ink from Teranishi reflects a time of high fashion and elegance from the Taisho era in Japan. In fact, haikara or 'high collar' became popularized as a term to describe 'stylish, new, fresh or fashionable' trends and culture that began entering Japan from Europe and America between 1912 and 1926.
